It's more important now than ever to consider travelling ethically and responsibly. Our actions can have lasting impacts on the people, places and animals we meet around the world.
I practise meaningful travel - exploring a destination as thoroughly and with as much consideration for the local people, environment and culture as possible.
Travelling is also a huge privilege, to have the money, time and a passport to travel is not something I take for granted.
I believe in supporting local economies and do so by staying and eating in locally-owned places. This is also why I love sharing these places with you, so that more people can enjoy them and so the local owners of these businesses get the recognition they deserve.
I believe that adventure travel allows you to face your fears and become more resilient as an individual. Skydiving, Snowboarding and Mountain-climbing have shown me the incredible things my body and mind are capable of.
More than anything, I believe that a destination is a sum of it's history, culture, landscape, plants, animals and people. Although you may just be passing through, you are passing people's homes, workplaces and spiritual spaces. These things must be considered as a responsible traveller.
